2. Who’s behind this?
Dan Shaw has been a consultant in direct marketing creative strategy and freelance copywriter since 1990, and engaged in direct marketing creative in agencies, client-side and (mostly) freelance, since 1972.
After spending some early career years in Los Angeles, Dan was drawn to the Right Coast in 1985 and, falling into the orbit of Washington DC, has been increasingly engaged in fundraising since then.
Dan has written copy for many of the nation’s largest nonprofit organizations, including lots of political action, most of the animal welfare groups, some environmental, and a representative sampling of everything else. Most work was done indirectly, as a subcontractor to agencies that serve the nonprofit sector.
